PWHT – Post Weld Heat Treatment

Post weld heat treatment (PWHT) improves the microstructure of the weld and reduces residual stresses formed during welding. We specialize in PWHT for steel and metal production industries, including construction of pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, tanks, buildings, bridges, offshore platforms, power plants, oil and gas processing plants, and petrochemical plants.

LDAR – Leak Detection and Repair Measurements

The main source of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from oil refineries and chemical manufacturing facilities is leaking equipment such as valves, pumps, compressors, and flange connections. VOCs pose health risks to workers and contribute to ground-level ozone formation, a key component of smog. This secondary pollutant can cause or worsen respiratory diseases, especially in children. Besides workers, nearby communities may be exposed to long-term toxic air pollutants due to leaking equipment. VOC leaks also increase operational costs of production or transport. The EPA Method 21 and standard EN 15446 are used to detect VOC leaks from process equipment using portable VOC detection instruments. Employees of TICPROLAB, UAB can assist your company in developing and implementing an effective LDAR program to comply with national environmental regulations, EPA Method 21, and EN 15446.
